Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center San Diego Simplified Acquisition Monterey Site, on behalf of the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS), Monterey, CA, intends to negotiate and award a sole source procurement using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under the authority of FAR 13.106-1 (b) and 6.302 with Harry S. Quast, Consultant, 1200 North Nash Street, Arlington, VA 22209. Period of performance for this level of effort is 01 October 2000 through 30 September 2001. Place of performance is NPS, Monterey, CA. The contractor shall 1) meet with curriculum and resource sponsors to ensure NPS is meeting their current and future needs; 2) facilitate teh flow of information between NPS and sponors; 3) participate in Secretary of the Navy's Personnel Task Force; 4) provide feedback and recommendations from the Task Force. The Government anticipates the award of a firm fixed price purchase order. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit a quotation. However, all proposals received within ten (10) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
