Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation package will not be issued. Solicitation number DAHA45-00-T-0051 is issued as a request for quotation. This is a 100% small business set-aside. Specifications are as follows: Each Battery Preservation Kit contains a receptacle solargizer, mounting plate, a bracket deisgend for the specific vehicle, quick release brass connectors, tailored Battery Mat set, required hardware, and detailed installation instructions. Battery Preservations Kits shall be fully compatible with the power supply system provided with NGB funded Controlled Humidity Systems. Battery Preservation Systems are required for the following types of wheeled vehicles: M925, M183A2, M998, M978, M923, M934A2, M984A1, M1075, and FLU419. Wheeled BPS kits contain non-receptical solargizers. All responsible sources who can fulfill the above requirements may submit a written quote and other relevant information regarding their Battery Preservation Kits. The provisions in FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items, and FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items apply to this acquisition. Award will be made to that offeror whose quote meets the specifications listed above and is the most advantageous price to the government. The government intends to award a firm fixed price order. All quotes shall include prices(s), FOB point, a POC (name and telephone number), GSA number if applicable, business size and payment terms. This award is being made under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures, Part 13 of the FAR. The government will not be responsible for any costs associated with the preparation and response of this announcement.
