Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F0470000T0101. This solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-13. The standard industrial classification code is 7991 The size standard is $5M. This acquisition is restricted; it is set aside for small businesses. The contract will be awarded based on the availability of funds. The acquisition is for the following services: Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) Line Item 0001, The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, transportation and other items or service necessary to perform Aerobic Exercise Instruction as defined in the statement of work at Edwards Air Force Base, California. The contractor shall provide certified instructors (names) for each class and shall maintain current certification in group exercise. The contractor shall ensure that employees have current and valid professional certifications for classes they are teaching. Only certification by nationally recognized organizations shall be acceptable. Aerobic Fitness Association of American (AFAA), Cooper Institute for Aerobic Research, American Council on Exercise (ACE), Exercise Safety Association (ESA) and NDIETA. All instructors shall be required to maintain current certification in Basic First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. The contractor shall be responsible for safeguarding all keys and government provided for contractor use. Classes will be held on seasonal rotating schedules. Class times will begin at 0600 with the last class to begin no later than 1900. All classes will run hour in length unless otherwise annotated. Location of classes will be Oasis Aerobic Center Building 2501 207 North Popson Edwards Air Force CA 93524. Period of Performance 1 October 2000 through 30 September 30, 2001. Offerors must include a completed copy of the provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items with the offer. If the offeror does not have a copy of this provision, contact the contract specialist to receive a copy. The following DFARs clauses apply to this acquisition: 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions; and 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor Registration. Offers are due at the Air Force Flight Test Center, Directorate of Contracting, 30 North Wolfe Avenue, Edwards AFB, CA, 93524, on 10 October at 4 pm.
