Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a Request For Quotation (RFQ), and the solicitation number is F7341901750200. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Circular 97-19. This is a 100% set-aside for small business, the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 1731 and the small business size standard $11.5 Million. The contractor is to provide personnel, labor, parts, tools, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary to perform preventive maintenance for 10 Liebert Modules, 2 Static Transfer Switches, 360 Flooded Batteries, and 180 Sealed Batteries in accordance with the attached Statements Of Work (SOW). The period of performance is 1 Oct 2000 through 30 Sep 2001. The FAR provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The Government reserves the right to award to other than the offeror with the lowest price. Award shall be based on best value to the Government. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items with its offer. The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions required to implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition, and the clauses at subparagraph (b)(12)(13)(14)(15), and (c)(1), and (c)(2) apply. A Wage Determination is attached, and (c)(2): Employee Class is Electrician Technician Maintenance II, GS-10, wages and fringes are $18.36 per hour + 32.85% for fringes.
