Description

Some highly interested industry partners with DOD have questioned the delay in getting information regarding the Special Operations Enterprise Information Technology Contract effort. Our intention is to provide the correct information the first time, vice a string of releases and retractions. The Enterprise Information Technology Contract (formerly SOF Information Enterprise (SIE)) is an ambitious effort to provide Special Operations Forces worldwide with information communications technology support. To accomplish this, the many existing IT support functions supported by government personnel and contractors involving over 16,000 workstations, are being reviewed to determine the degree of contractual consolidation needed. Issues exist on both the macro and micro scale as regards to what functions/user requirements should be included. Additionally, implementing the efforts in concert with the logical shifting of current contractual responsibilities will be critical to a smooth transition. Defining/determining the scope of this effort is ongoing. We appreciate your patience.
