- Description
- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. REQUEST FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. The Defense Threat Reduction Agency is seeking potential sources for the acquisition of support services to operate and maintain a semi-automated system to monitor vehicles and cargo loads exiting from the Votkinsk Machine Building Plant in Russia. The government expects the qualified contractors either alone or with appropriate teaming partners to possess the capabilities or experience to support the implementation of the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START). The contractor will provide logistics, maintenance, food preparation, health care, and linguist personnel to support inspection activities at a remote site located in Votkinsk, Russia. The contractor shall also have the capability to provide for logistics planning for food, spares, and miscellaneous support equipment. Performance under the contract will require a SECRET security clearance. The contractor support provided at Votkinsk is 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The contract will run for a period of a year and will have several option years. The projected start date for the support is July 2001. Any information submitted by respondents to this synopsis is strictly voluntary. THE SUBMISSION OF THIS INFORMATION IS FOR PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY, AND IS NOT TO BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO PROCURE ANY ITEMS/SERVICES, NOR FOR THE GOVERNMENT TO PAY FOR THE INFORMATION RECEIVED. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT EXISTS. Availability of any formal solicitation will be announced separately and will reference this sources sought announcement. Contractors who believe they possess the expertise and experience shall submit technical capabilities in writing to Thomas Rike, Defense Threat Reduction Agency/AMO, ATTN: Thomas Rike, 8725 John J. Kingman Drive MSC 6201, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060-6201. Responses should be received by the November 30, 2000. All documentation shall become the property of the government. This synopsis should not be construed as commitment by the Government for any purpose.
