Description

This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Request For Quotation (RFQ) number is N66604-01-Q-0163. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-17. NAICS Code is 334111; size standard is 1000.NUWC Division Newport intends to purchase the following items:Network Appliance Storage Shelf FC9, 7x36GB, X688, requires data ONTAP 5.3.6 or later revision, Qty (1), Item 002: NetAPP Availability Advantage Service, SVD-F740-N/F740/ENB/12/Y/2/0/0/0/0 USD,S/N 12538 for the period of (1) year, Qty (1), Item 003: SSP Plan, Qty (1)Required delivery is (1) year after award, F.O.B. Destination Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Newport, RI 02841. It is expected to place a purchase order with Network Appliance Inc,a large business,495 E Java Drive, Sunnyvale, CA 94089. They are the only known source for these items because it is an addition to existing equipment supplied by Network Appliance and must be fully compatible to function as a system. Model F740 is used and requires addition disk storage capability as well as hardware/software service. All other timely offers will be considered. Offers for other products must contain complete product information and prices. FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items applies. Evaluation will be in accordance with FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation -- Commercial Items. Evaluation factors are technical capability, price and past performance. Each is equally important. A completed copy of FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items must be submitted with quote.
