Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound (FISCPS) has a requirement for 62 each, modular crew type berths, and 2 each, stateroom berths to be installed on the U.S. Navy Berthing Barge, APL 66. The modular crew type berths shall be in accordance with the U.S. Navy Shipboard Furniture Catalog, NAVSEA S9600-AD-GTP-010, page B-1B-1, type 2, style 2, size 1, hull type drawing number 804-5959312 Rev. A. The stateroom berths shall be in accordance with the U.S. Navy Shipboard Furniture Catalog, page B-1A-1, hull type drawing number 805-1749028, with box spring, mattress, and headboard. All units shall comply with U.S. Navy habitability requirements as stated in Mil-Std-1623D. Delivery of all the berth subbases, to Portsmouth, VA, is required within 2 weeks after award, with the completed berths delivered at a quantity of no less than 15 units every 3-4 weeks. This acquisition will be solicited utilizing the procedures of FAR Part 12, Commercial Acquisition. In accordance with FAR 5.203(h), the solicitation closing date has been reduced to 10 days from the publishing of this announcement. It is anticipated that the RFQ will be issued on or about 20 Nov 00 and close on or about 30 Nov 00. When issued, the RFQ will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link "www.neco.navy.mil". All offerors wishing to submit an offer, are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website (WinZIP is required) and to frequently monitor that site for any amendments to the RFQ. No telephone or fax requests for the RFQ package will be accepted. An email request to "victor_b_angkico@puget.fisc.navy.mil" will be accepted in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFQ from the NECO website. No bidders list will be maintained by this office. No paper copies of the RFQ and/or amendments will be mailed. This will be a 100% small business set-aside. All responsible sources may submit an offer/bid which, if timely received, shall be considered by FISCPS. Note 1 applies.
