Description

Provide Architect/Engineer (A/E) Services to include all investigation, design surveys, verification of as-built conditions, construction drawings, cost estimates, phasing and estimated construction time required for a fully developed set of construction documents for Domestic Water System Upgrade. This upgrade will consist of replacement of five (5) sets of triplex domestic cold water pumps and possible additional pump set(s) based on results of the A/E's field investigations and design recommendations. The scope shall also include repiping of the existing water distribution system to segregate the hot water zones in Quadrants A-D to coincide with the cold water distribution zones. 254's and 255's will be accepted from responsible firms within a 100 mile radius of the New Orleans, Metropolitan area until 4:00 p.m., close of business December 14, 2000. Travel funds are not authorized. The radius will be determined based on the address stated in Block 1 of the SF254. It is the intent of this agency to short list a maximum of 5 firms. All work will be performed at the VA Medical Center, 1601 Perdido Street, New Orleans, LA 70112. The standard industrial classification code is 8712, Architectual Services, $2.5 million dollars.
