Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Submission of a proposal is requested and a written solicitation is not available. Solicitation N61339-01-R-0011 is issued as a request for proposal and incorporates the provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-20. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation to be provided. This solicitation is sole source to RAYDON CORPORATION, Daytona Beach, FL. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this solicitation is 541330 with average annual receipts that do not exceed $20 million. The following items are required: CLIN 0001, Egyptian Tank Full-Crew Interactive Simulator Trainer (TFIST) Technical Services and Support for system hardware and software upgrade with technical data; and, installation and testing in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW MC01001 of 10/31/00) and the DD Form 1423s; SLIN 000101, First TFIST shall be government furnished within three months after contract (MAC) to the contractor for upgrade and preliminary testing in-plant, shipment to Egypt shall be provided by the U.S. Government upon completion of in-plant effort for final testing by the contractor, quantity of one each, final testing of the first unit to be completed eight MAC; SLIN 000102, upgrade and testing of the remaining four TFIST shall be accomplished in Egypt (locations in country are TTC in Cairo, Suez 1 and Suez 2, Ismalia, and Alexandria), quantity of four, delivery of the last unit to be completed ten (MAC); SLIN 000103, Technical Data in accordance with (IAW) DD Form 1423s (Exhibits A -- C), quantity one lot, not separately priced; CLIN 0002, Clamshell Field Advisory Support to be performed IAW the SOW in Egypt, quantity 1 lot, delivery to be completed ten MAC ; CLIN 0003, Instructor/OperatorTraining Course preparation and presentation for a maximum of ten students to be conducted in Egypt after delivery of the first TFIST, quantity 1 each. Delivery of all CLINs shall be completed no later than ten MAC. Delivery and acceptance shall be per the Statement of Work No. SOW MC01001 of 31 Oct 00, Rev 5 and/or the applicable DD Form 1423. The following FAR/DFARS provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: 52.212-1, 52.212-3, 52.212-4, 52.212-5, 252.212-7001. The following subparagraphs of FAR 52.212-5(b) apply: (1), (5), (7), (11), (12), (13), (14), (15), (20), (23), (25) and (27). The following subparagraphs of FAR 52.212-5(c) apply: None. The following clauses of DFARS 52.212-7001(b) and (c) apply: 252.225-7001, 252.225-7007, 252.225-7021, 252.225-7027, 252.225-7028, 252.225-7036 w/Alt. I, 252.227-7037. A completed copy of the following must be included in the proposal: FAR 52.212-3, DFARS 252.212-7000 and DFARS 252.225-7000, 252.225-7006, 252.225-7020 and 252.225-7035. The following clauses also apply: DFARS 252.204-7004, FAR 52.227-19, and DFARS 252.225-7005, 252.225-7042 and 252.225-7043; and, "Year 2000 Warranty-Commercial Supply Items -- The contractor warrants that each hardware, software, and firmware product delivered under this contract and listed below shall be able to accurately process date data (including, but not limited to, calculating, comparing, and sequencing) from, into, and between the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, including leap year calculations, when used in accordance with the product documentation provided by the contractor, provided that all listed or unlisted products (e.g. hardware, software, firmware) used in combination with such listed product properly exchange date data with it. If the contract requires that specific listed products must perform as a system in accordance with the foregoing warranty, then that warranty shall apply to those listed products as a system. The duration of this warranty and the remedies available to the Government for breach of this warranty shall be as defined in, and subject to, the terms and limitations of the contractor's standard commercial warranty or warranties contained in this contract, provided that notwithstanding any provision to the contrary in such commercial warranty or warranties, the remedies available to the Government under this warranty shall include repair or replacement of any listed product whose non-compliance is discovered and made known to the contractor in writing within ninety (90) days after acceptance. Nothing in this warranty shall be construed to limit any rights or remedies the Government may otherwise have under this contract with respect to defects other than Year 2000 performance." Contractor's proposal must include technical approach, price and proposed delivery and payment schedule for use in making payments by credit card.
