Description
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Cambridge Research and Instrumentation, Inc. 80 Ashford Street, Boston, MA 02134 under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) for a high-accuracy temperature controller system, Model TC-02 to include the following specifications: a) GPIB interface electronics; b) Calibration and system verification electronics; c) Two AC bridge thermometry electronics circuits for receiver and heat sink; d) Two heater power supply and measurement modules for receiver and head sink; e) two microprocessor control modules for receiver and heat sink. Cambridge Research and Instrumentation, Inc. is the only source who can provide this high-accuracy temperature controller system, Model TC-02 because of the unique electronic components and their proprietary circuitry. This system is a replacement for the existing system that had been in use for the last eight years at NIST. This temperature controller is part of the Absolute Cryogenic Radiometer (ACR) system at the Low Background Infrared facility at NIST. This total system has been custom built to NIST specifications by Cambridge Research Instrumentation Inc. Cambridge Research is the only source who can provide this replacement part. Required delivery 120 days ARO. FOB Gaithersburg, MD. The contractor shall provide one set of operational manuals and a 12 month warranty. The Contractor must be able to meet all the specifications stated herein. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, all quotations received by December 8, 2000 will be considered by the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
