Description

Fabricate 500, 1500 lb. concrete sinkers according to specifications and drawings to USCGC Kankakee, Memphis, TN. References: American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM): A36/A 36M, Standard Specification for Carbon Structural Steel C 150-96 Specification for Portland Cement; C33-93, Spec. for Concrete Aggregates; C143-90A, Test Method for Slump of Hydraulic Cement Concrete; C39-96, Test Method for Compressive Strength of Cylindrical Concrete Speciments; American Concrete Institute (ACI) ACI 3l8, Building Code Requirements for Reinforced Concrete. Applicable Drawing: USCG CEU DWG. 62192-D, Standard Sinker 8th District (oan) Sheet 1 or 3. Requirements: Releasing agents -- USE only environmentally safe releasing agents when pouring sinkers. Contractor shall not pour directly on asphalt or concrete. Tarpaulins or plastic sheeting must be provided to cover all asphalt and concrete during on site pours. All pours shall be made between the hours of 0730 to 1530. Customer shall be notified at least 72 hours in advance of delivery or start of work. Initial delivery of 100 sinkers are due by 01/05/01. Remaining to be delivered by 02/09/01. No deliveries are to be made on Saturdays, Sundays, or Federal Holidays. Request for quotations are available by contacting MS Eva Johnson 314-539-3900 x356.
