Description

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) intends to enter into a sole source contract with Environmental Health Associates (EHA) Inc., to provide technical support to the NRC by developing and maintaining a database of the questionnaire and survey results for the Sewage Sludge Survey and assist in the analysis of the survey results. The NRC and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) are sponsoring a joint survey to characterize radioactive materials in sewage sludge and ash from publicly owned treatment works (POTWs) and information will be furnished by the POTWs to the contractor through responses to the questionnaire and the survey. This is a continuation of services being performed by EHA under subcontract to Los Alamos National Laboratory. The contractor is the only known source that has the experience to perform this work in order to meet the deadline approved by OMB when NRC requested approval to conduct the survey.
