- Description
- The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is requesting quotations from vendors to place a Service Agreement to pick-up and deliver OCS Mail I.E. Registered, Certified all security items and documents on a daily basis for fiscal year 2001. The following areas are included: Main Post Office (Brentwood Station), Pick up for deposits at Bank of America, delivery and pick-up for BEP Credit Unions (13th & C Streets, S.W. and Waterside S.W.). Delivery and pick-up at BEP to be completed by 11:00 a.m. at 13th Street BEP lobby. Company must have armored carrier and armed guard. Transportation requirements are attached. The simplified acquisition procedures set forth in FAR Parts 12 and 13 shall be used. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation. This notice constitutes the only solicitation; therefore, a written request for quotation will not be issued. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is RFQ-027-01-001. The basis for award shall be best value, considering company_s detailed security plan, company_s policy for screening and hiring current and prospective employees, price, and other factors e.g., past performances and quality. All interested businesses are requested to submit a written quotation, which will be considered by the agency. Quotations may be submitted on a SF 1449 or on company letterhead. Quotations shall include the RFQ number, the proposed unit price, the proposed extended price, any prompt payment discount terms, company name, point of contact, address, phone number, fax number, tax identification number, DUNS number, and size status (i.e., small business, disadvantaged business, woman owned business, or large business). Quotations shall also include company_s policy for screening/hiring current and prospective employees and a detailed security plan for securing the cargo in the vehicle from the point of origin through delivery as set forth in BEP_s Transportation Requirements (attached). If this item is available under GSA Schedule please provide the schedule number. Quotations are due Monday, December 4, 2000 at 4:00p.m. Quotations may be mailed to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) Office of Procurement Attn: Sherese Lewis, 14th and C Sts, S.W., Washington, D.C. 20228-0001 or faxed at (202) 874-2200 or 3135.
