Description

Naval Air Warfare Center (Aircraft Division) Patuxent River, MD, Code 4.1.3, has a requirement to purchase Simulated Telecommunication Equipment that is compatible with Business Process Engineering (BPR) 2-1's Network Centric Warfare RDT&E network and High Level Architecture (HLA) simulators. The equipment required includes: XiComm Base System (comprised of Desktop Model Processor, TDM Communications Card, Model Builder Development, Runtime Licenses, Hard Drive, Host Ethernet, and Technical Documentation); Distributed Operators; Network Radios; Network Intercoms; Telex Dual Ear Cup Military Style Headset; Cable Assembly, RIU to PTT switch; Inline Beltclip PTT Switch; HLA Telestra Hardware and Software Add-on; Assembled RIU Rackmount Kits; Hand Held Operator Terminal; Synapse 4-Net Real Radio System; Customization; FOM Customization; On Site Training at (1) Point Magu, CA, (2) China Lake, CA, and (3) Patuxent River, MD; and One (1) Year Maintenance Support. The equipment provided for herein has a required delivery date of 23 February 2001. The required equipment must comply with BPR 2-1's Network Centric Warfare RDT&E network and HLA Simulators. It is anticipated that a sole source, Firm Fixed Price contract, using the authority under Section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996 (10 U.S.C. 2304(g)) as implemented by FAR 13.5 Test Program for Commercial Items will be issued. This is a notice of intent to request a proposal from and negotiate with Advanced Simulation Technology, Inc., 441-A Carlisle Drive, Herndon, VA 20170. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and submit technical information and a technical capability statement in response to this notice. Responses shall be considered by the Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Contracts. Responses without a return address, mailing address, and company telephone number will not be recognized. Proprietary data in the responses will be protected where so designated. NOTE: Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to be eligible for contract award or payment from any DOD activity.
