Description

Hand tree planting on the Shawnee National Forest in Southern Illinois. This project entails hand planting of trees in lowland areas adjacent to or near the Mississippi and Big Muddy Rivers on the Murphysboro Ranger District. Area to be planted is approximately 808 acres. The Contractor will be responsible for purchasing 56,560 tree seedlings (cypress), providing cold storage facilities and hand planting all tree seedlings. Award is expceted to be made in February 2001 and completion date is May 2001.
