Description

The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center San Diego intends to procure on a full and open competition basis software engineering support services for the Joint Southern Surveillance Reconnaissance Operations Center (JSSROC). The contractor will provide support services for C4SI systems/subsystems developed and installed at JSSROC Support Facility (JSF) San Diego, CA and JSSROC Key West, FL in response to specific Task Orders. The scope of this procurement will encompass: software development and programming, Automated Data Processing (ADP), Software Support Activity (SSA), Software Process Improvement (SPI), testing, training, and system integration support services; Providing quick response to reported Software Trouble Reports (STRs) to ensure systems are operational per requirements; Providing on-the-job training (OJT) to designated maintenance personnel so that they may independently perform required software maintenance. The system categories discussed above are considered under the umbrella of C4ISR as a general area. However, the specializations under this broad area in which the contract's requirements may evolve are: display processing, tactical digital information links (TADIL's), other data link processing, radar and surveillance data processing, and tracking data fusion of targets/tracks. Associated areas, which hold technical requirements are: Communications Security (COMSEC), Information Security (INFOSEC), voice and data communications systems (i.e. radios, computer interfaces, modems, local area networks, fiber optic and coaxial systems). The Contracting Officer has determined the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number for this procurement to be 541511. The Solicitation document is to be issued on or about 16 January 2001. No hard copy versions of the solicitation will be available.
