Description

Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with BAE Systems for the Alaska Fisheries Science Center (AFSC). Purpose of proposed contract is to refurbish proprietary Dual-4 MAPS and TAPS acoustic devices. BAE is the exclusive manufacturer of high frequency, multi-frequency quantitative hydroacoustic equipment for research on small to intermediate-sized zooplankton. No other source is capable of refurbishing proprietary BAE equipment. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000.
