Description

The Carderock Division Naval Surface Warfare Center intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Innovative Imaging for two Roper Scientific Model 4.0 Digital Cameras,including power supply and double frame buffer. These cameras will record the dominant flow features that contribute to the overboard discharge of diesel fuel during refueling. These cameras utilize CCD technology. The information obtained from the flow morphology is immensely important for modeling mixing and fuel emulsification. In addition, the cameras can be used for possible future flow-field measurements using a technique called PIV. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements under the authority of FAR 6.302.1. Anticipated award is on or about 1/16/01.
