Description

On Tuesday, 6 March 2001, the Small Business Office at Eglin AFB Florida will sponsor an Information Technology Show with emphasis on IT companies who have new technology that has applicability to Eglin AFB FL. We are particularly interested in information security and technology that supports Eglin's primary mission of research, development, and test of conventional munitions. Eglin has approximately 12,000 military, civilian and contractor employees. Hq Air Force Special Operations Command, at nearby Hurlburt Field, has another 10,000 employees. More information on Eglin AFB can be found at http://www.eglin.af.mil. First priority for exhibitors will be given to small businesses and local companies; however, a few large businesses will also be invited to attend. The main emphasis will be on companies who can exhibit new technology; not resellers of off-the-shelf commercial equipment. The number of invitations to resellers will be limited. The registration fee is $50 and will cover booth space, advertising for the event, and food for exhibitors and attendees. The number of exhibitors will be limited to 28. If you are interested in participating please e-mail information about your company and/or your web site, to patty.uhrig@eglin.af.mil. Please respond by 19 January. Invitations will then be sent to those companies who have technology of most interest to Eglin AFB. Please do not respond unless you will be available to attend on 6 March. No phone calls please.
