Description

The United States Air Force is requesting bids to furnish all labor, services, equipment, supervision and transportation necessary for the installation of exterior water spigots in select housing units at Hanscom AFB, MA. The principle items of work include but are not limited to installing piping, spigots, valves, fittings, testing, and where necessary drilling, patching, caulking and fastening. This Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ)Purchase Order will be for a 24 month period. The quaranteed minimum is $5,000.00 for the life of the contract. All contractors must be CCR registered. Failure to register will disqualify a contractor from award, should the contractor be selected and not registered. The magnitude of construction for this project is between $25,000 and $50,000. The result of the bids will be a firm-fixed price contract. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation either before or after the receipt of proposals without obligation to the offerors. The site visit will be held at 10:00am on 23 January 2001. Bids are due no later than 3:00pm on 30 January 2001. DO NOT CALL THE OMBUDSMAN UNLESS YOU HAVE SPOKEN TO MR. BAKER AND ARE NOT SATISFIED WITH YOUR ANSWER. An Acquisition Ombudsman, Colonel Joseph B. Magnone, Director, Commander's Staff, has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during proposal development. You should only contact the Ombudsman with issues or problems you cannot satisfactorily resolve with the program manager and/or contracting officer. The Ombudsman role is to hear concerns, issues and recommendations and communicate these to the appropriate government personnel. The Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality if desired.
