Description

The solicitation will be issued electronically on the FEDBIZOPPS web page on or about January 19, 2001 at http://www.eps.gov/. Please sign up for the "Auto Notification" service to receive an e-mail from FEDBIZOPPS when an action is taken under this solicitation. Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform drydock repairs including but not limited to the following Base Items: (1) Renew Forepeak Longitudinal Sections, (2) Clean and Inspect Diesel Fuel Tanks, (3) Clean and Inspect Sewage and Grey Water Collection and Holding Tank, (4) Renew Bimetallic Transition Joint, (5) Remove, Inspect and Reinstall Propeller Shaft, (6) Renew Water-Lubricated Shaft Bearing, (7) Remove and Reinstall Propeller, (8) Perform Minor Repairs and Reconditioning of Propeller, (9) Clean and Test MDE Grid Cooler, (10) Re-locate Grid Coolers for Both Ship Service Diesel Generators, (11) Preserve the Transducer Hull Ring and Renew the V850 Transducer, (12) Inspect and Test Steering Gear System, (13) Remove, Inspect and Reinstall Rudder Assembly, (14) Reseal Windows and Renew Window Frames, (15) Preserve Underwater Body, (16) Provide Temporary Logistics, (17) Routine Drydocking,, (18) GFP Report. Optional Items include but are not limited to the following: (1) Minor Coating Repairs, (2) Renew Shaft Covering (50%), (3) Provide Additional Temporary Logistics, (4) Composite Labor, (5) Laydays. The vessel is a 65 Foot _B_ Class Harbor Tug. Vessel_s homeport is Southwest Harbor, Maine. The performance period for this availability is thirty-five (35) calendar days, beginning on or about 7 May 2001. The place of performance for this vessel is restricted to no open water transits and is restricted to the protected waters of the cutter_s assigned area of operations. The boundary lines/points in the geographic restriction areas are: Eastport, Maine in the north and Rye, New Hampshire in the south. A non-refundable charge of $150.00 may be required in the form of a certified check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested drawings. All businesses, large and small, are encouraged to submit bids for the subject requirements. Plans and specifications will be issued on or after 19 January 2001.
