Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound has a requirement for the following items: a) Lavatory unit, hull type drawing 804-5184206C, Type II, Size 3, 2 EA; Size 2, 2 EA; Size 1, 2 EA; b) Door WC, hull type drawing 804-1648669C, Type R, 6 EA; c) Mirror, hull type drawing 805-2253852, 4 EA; d) Wardrobe Locker, hull type drawing 804-1749231, Type C, 86 EA; d) Wardrobe Locker, hull type drawing 501-6577519, 2 EA; and e) Berths, 2 high, hull type drawing 804-5959312, Type VI, Style 2, Size 2, 40 EA. All units shall comply with U.S. Navy habitability requirements as stated in Mil-Std-1623D. Delivery is desired within 60 days after contract award. Offerors are responsible for obtaining their own copies of the hull type drawings referenced in this synopsis and the RFQ. No drawings will be provided with the RFQ. Offerors who wish to receive a copy of the hull type drawings are required to contact Ms. Julie Frost, (207) 438-2445, at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. Her mailing address is: Commander, Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Attn: Julie Frost, Code 280.6, Building 29, Second Floor, Portsmouth, NH 03804-5000. A nominal charge will be required. This acquisition will be solicited utilizing the procedures of FAR Part 12, Commercial Acquisition. In accordance with FAR 5.203(h), the solicitation closing date has been reduced to 10 days from the publishing of this announcement. It is anticipated that the RFQ will be issued on or about 16 Jan 01 and close on or about 23 Jan 01. When issued, the RFQ will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link "www.neco.navy.mil". All offerors wishing to submit an offer, are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website (WinZIP is required) and to frequently monitor that site for any amendments to the RFQ. No telephone or fax requests for the RFQ package will be accepted. An email request to "victor_b_angkico@puget.fisc.navy.mil" will be accepted in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFQ from the NECO website. No bidders list will be maintained by this office. No paper copies of the RFQ and/or amendments will be mailed. This will be a 100% small business set-aside. All responsible sources may submit an offer/bid which, if timely received, shall be considered by FISCPS. Note 1 applies.
