Description

Desc. This amends the CBD Notice for sources sought under Sol. 00-00851-C-AF that appeared in CBDnet on December 18, 2000 and in the CBD publication on December 20, 2000. As background, the CBD Notice was issued by FDIC seeking firms interested in providing an integrated and scalable Commercial-Off-The-Shelf Financial Management System. It provided information concerning FDIC's background, general system capability and requirements, infrastructure description and requirements, how responses were to be structured and evaluated, and submission requirements. Further, among other things, it stated that even though FDIC's standard database is DB2 (mainframe) and MS-SQL Server (client/server), nonstandard DMBS may still be considered as viable solutions and could be submitted for consideration under our market research activities. HOWEVER, based on internal policy, this has changed and the above referenced CBD Notice is hereby amended to state that FDIC shall only consider responses from vendors with solutions/systems that operate on DB2 and MS-SQL Server DBMS. No other DMBS shall be considered as a viable solution for this requirement. All other information provided in the above referenced CBD Notice is correct as stated and remains unchanged, including the January 17, 2001 due date for responses.
