Description
The U. S. Coast Guard Maintenance and Logistics Command proposes to solicit on a sole source basis to Mackay Communication for a Firm Fixed Price contract for 12 each Saturn Bm Class 2 System with Stu III, High Speed Data, Datacomm Switch, Serial Printer, and System Certification. The equipment is manufactured by NERA and distributed and certified solely by Mackay Communications. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The period of performance for this contract will be one year from the date of the order to exercise any additional quantities. The supplies will be delivered FOB Destination to the contractor's facility. The NAICS Code is 334220 is assigned. The size standard is 750 employees. The type of contract will be a Firm Fixed Price contract with options to order additional quantities with commercial provisions IAW FAR Part 12. INTERESTED PARTIES ARE NOTIFIED THAT THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE AVAILABLE EXCLUSIVELY THROUGH THE INTERNET BY 9 January 2001.
