Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 of the FAR, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-20. The Office of Naval Intelligence has a requirement to procure: (1) each Sony AIT 2 tape drive to be integrated into an existing ADIC AML-E Robotic Jukebox. Tape drive configuration follows: (6) each -- 8-MM (AIT) media segment; (2) each -- dual SDX-510C/L (AIT2)tape drive pair with differential SCSI interface; (1) each -- drive bay shelf for mounting up to three AIT drive pairs; (1) each -- upgrade AMASS license to accommodate new media types and installation; (1) each -- AMASS integration services. The FAR provisions at 52.212.1, Instructions to Offeror-Commercial Items apply. Also, include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212.3, Offeror Representation and Certifications-Commercial Items.
