Description

The project is for construction of a soil cap/cover over the affected area of Landfill C, Gillis Long Center, Carville LA. The cap will consist of 12 inches of clay, plus a 12-inch vegetated soil cover for erosion prevention. Cap shall be graded from higher to lower elevation to coincide with existing topography. Work to be completed within 30 days after notice to proceed. Estimated cost range is between $100,000 and $250,000. The solicitation will be issued on or about February 10, 2001, with offers due on March 13, 2001. Anticipated award date is March 27, 2001. Information regarding a site visit will be announced in the solicitation. A site visit is recommended. This procurement is open to both small and large businesses in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. NAICS Code 23499, size standard $27.5 million.
