Description

The Government intends to purchase on a sole source basis one (1) TIROS INFORMATION PROCESSER (TIP) BEACON RECEIVING SYSTEM from Telonics, Inc., 932-T East Impala Avenue, Mesa, Arizona 85204. This item is required to receive real-time S-band frequency transmissions from mobile Platform Transmitter Terminals (PTTs) within the ARGOS collection and location system. It must receive and process sensor information directly from the satellite downlink in a configuration compatible with the existing systems currently fielded. Telonics is the only company known to supply products which can satisfy this requirement. Award is to be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (FAR 13)- Reference RFQ# N00178-01-Q-3011.
