NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the following items: 1. WILD FAMILY DEVELOPMENT SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT TOOLKIT COMBINATION PACKAGE FOR SUN RUNNING UNIX. INCLUDES: WF/DEV SIM UNIX VNL (MODEL TECHNOLOGY'S MODELSIM PE/VHDL) WF/DEV PR UNIX VNL (SYMPLICITYS SYMPLIFY FOR XILINX) AND WF/DEV PR UNIX VNL (XILINX'S ALLIANCE STANDARD PLACE AND ROUTE, PLATFORM: SUN ULTRAIO RUNNING SOLARIS 7. [MODEL NUMBER: PE/VHDL] [PART NUMBER: WF/DEVTKUNIX VNL] 2. 1 YEAR MAINTENANCE FOR DEVELOPMENT TOOLKIT FOR SUN RUNNING UNIX. 3. HDL ANALYST. [PART NUMBER WF/HDLA UNIXNL] 4. 1 YEAR MAINTENANCE FOR HDL ANALYST. 5. INTRODUCTION TO FIREBIRD TRAINING COURSE. (JAN. 29-31, 2001). [MODEL NUMBER: CL/FB1]. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from Annapolis Micro Systems, Inc., as they are the originator of the customizations of this software and the only provider of the support for this software. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on January 30, 2001. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
