Description

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) HEDS Technology/Commercialization Initiative (HTCI) solicits proposals for technology research and development investigations. Proposals requested by this announcement may be for advanced concepts, systems analysis, mission studies and modeling; HEDS-enabling advanced research and technology development; or HEDS technology flight demonstrations. Proposals may be offered by all categories of non-NASA U.S. and, under certain conditions, foreign governmental and private sector organizations, agencies, and institutions. While NASA Field Centers (including the Jet Propulsion Laboratory) cannot submit proposals, they may provide supporting participation to proposals offered by non-NASA entities. There will be a pre-proposal conference for potential applicants shortly following the release of the CAN. This solicitation, information regarding the pre-proposal conference and other relevant information, will be available electronically via the Internet at: http://research.hq.nasa.gov/code_m/nra/current/CAN-HEDS-01-1/index.html The solicitation will be open for the period through March 16, 2001; proposals may be submitted at any time throughout the period. Paper copies of the CAN are available starting on or about January 30, 2001 to those who do not have access to the Internet by calling 202-358-4180 and leaving a voice mail message.
