Sources Sought Notice Date Submitted: 10-JAN-2001 OC-ALC/LPDPA DIR CONTRACTING/PROPULSION 3001 STAFF DR STE 2AG1/106C TINKER AIR FORCE BASE OK 73145-3032 J -- REPAIR SOURCE-SEEKING SYNOPSIS F108 SOL F34601-01-R-90000 DUE 011901 Madeline Clements/Lpdpa/[405]739-4496, For additional information contact Madeline Clements/Lpdpa/[405]739-4496 The Air Force (Tinker AFB, OK) has a repair requirement for the following F108 Engine items: F108 Turbine Nozzle Segments, INPUT NSN 2840-01-253-1391PN, P/N 1285M96G01- G13, AND OR P/N 1396M96G01-G13; NSN 2840-01-206-9818PN, P/N 9511M43G06-G15; NSN 2840-01-466-9348PN, P/N 9527M50G01/G03 AND OR P/N 1285M97G01/G03 AND OR P/N 1317M36G01/G03; NSN 2840-01-339-6142PN, P/N 9527M50G04-G07 AND OR P/N 1285M97G04 AND OR P/N 1317M36G04/G05 AND OR P/N 9527M50G10-G12 AND OR P/N 9527M50G14/G15 AND OR P/N 1441M29G06; NSN 2840-01-439-1262PN, P/N 1476M30G01/G05 AND OR P/N 1476M30G07; NSN 2840-01-438-9420PN, P/N 2002M64G01/G02. OUTPUT NSN 2840-01-438-9420PN, P/N 2080M29G03. These Turbine Nozzle Segments are assemblies of 2 vanes brazed into inner and outer platforms. Each vane is a cast shell divided into forward and aft compartments by inner rib. The repair consists of replacing HPT nozzle segments airfoils and outerband platforms with DRS142 material. Coat repaired nozzle segments with Platinum Aluminide coating. F108 HPT Outer Nozzle Supports, INPUT NSN 2840-01-187-3054PN, P/N 1441M32P02 AND OR P/N 9523M63G02 AND OR P/N 1441M32P01 AND OR P/N 9523M63G01 AND OR P/N 9523M63G03 AND OR P/N 1441M32P03 AND OR P/N 1523M88G01 AND OR P/N 1523M82P01. OUTPUT NSN 2840-01-187-3054PN, P/N 1523M82P01. These HPT Outer Nozzle Supports are one-piece nickel base alloy ring, that supports the turbine nozzle outer platforms, that carries a portion of the nozzle axial load. The repair consists of drilling eight (8) additional air metering holes, increasing the contact area on the forward flange and thermal spraying Triballoy 800 on forward flange. The inital contract(s) will be fixed quantity contract(s) for quick turnaround. For future requirements, a 3 to 5 year requirements type contract will be let for the repair of these same items in order to provide ontinuous support for the repair line at depot. General repair requirements may be found in the CFM 56 Component Repair Directories and CFMI (CFM 56-2B)Engine Shop Manual as well as applicable Service Bulletins. In addition to the general repair, all components listed above must be upgraded to the latest configuration of that part. No Engineering Data will be furnished as the interested Contractors will have the appropriate tech data, engineering drawings, BOM design changes, CFMI/CFM 56 Service Bulletins and inspection/testing equipment to accomplish the repair. The Government's intent is to use commercial practices, manuals, and industry standards wherever possible in support of the repair of these items. An Initial Production Evaluation (IPE) will be required, unless the Contractor has been previously approved by CFMI and/or met engineering and production qualifications.
