Description

The Dahlgren Division, NSWC, intends to purchase on a sole source basis eight (8) each of MODEL A2200, LOW BAND BROADBAND PLANAR SPIRAL ANTENNA ASSEMBLIES from Litton Systems Incorporated, Airtron Division, Microwave Group, 200 East Hanover Avenue, Morris Plains, New Jersey 07950. These items are necessary as replacements for use in the D1509 DF Antenna System in support of the Cluster Robin Program, of which NSWCDD is a Support Activity. The antennae must interface with the existing airborne system. The current antenna system was developed by E-Systems (acquired by Litton) and the only source for MODEL A2200 antennae is Litton Systems Incorporated. The successes of the Cluster Robin program depend heavily on the timely performance of these antennae within requirements. Award is to be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (FAR 13).
