Description

The Government intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price type Purchase Order for Household Goods Moving Services, as required by the Naval Support Activity New Orleans, LA. This requirement is in accordance with FAR subpart 13.5 "Test Program for Certain Commercial Items" (CLINGER -- COHEN), with 100% full and open competition. The Period of Performance for the resulting Purchase Order will be from the time of award through 31 DEC 2001 with one (1) one-year option period. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 484210, and the corresponding Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 4214. Services shall include all personnel, equipment, facilities, supplies, services, and materials, for the preparation of personal property of military members and civilian employees for movement or drayage and related services. Contractor must be located within a 50-mile radius of the requiring activity in New Orleans, LA. All responsible sources must submit pricing and past performance data by 4:00 p.m. on the date the offer is due. Potential Offerors are hereby notified that the Solicitation and subsequent Amendments to the Solicitation will only be available by downloading the documents at the NECO website at http://www.neco.navy.mil. This office will no longer issue hard-copy solicitations. By submitting a quote, the vendor will be self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal Agency. Failure to so represent may be grounds for refusing to accept the quote. The RFQ will be issued approximately 22 January 2001.
