Description

SUBCONTRACTING OPPORTUNITIES -- This solicitation is being offered to a select group of contractors as of January 16, 2001. For subcontracting opportunities and/or plans and specifications, you may contact one of the following contractors: Comalli Electric, 7 Westview Rd., Pittsfield, MA 01201; Mafco Electric, P O Box 2104, Hartford, CT 06120; Collins Electric, P O Box 3311, Springfield, MA 01102; HEC, Inc., 34 Hopmeadow St., Weatogue, CT 06089; Select Energy, 107 Selden St., Berlin, CT 06037. Plans and specs are available only from these contractors. Please do not contact the U. S. Postal Service for plans and specs. The work includes replacing the existing 250 watt mercury vapor fixtures in Pittsfield and fluorescent fixtures in Pittsfield, Agawam, and Amherst, MA Main Post Offices with new energy-efficient fluorescent fixtures utilizing electronic ballasts. The cost of the work is between $100,000 and $200,000, with completion within 90 days. Please contact the contractors listed above for plans and specs.
