Description

DSCC: The Draft RFP for the cost-comparison study for obtaining the most efficient and cost-effective method of providing distribution services in the management and operation of the Defense Distribution Center, Hill AFB, utah (DDHU)is tentatively scheduled to be on the web January 16, 2001 at the following address: http://www.supply.dla.mil/a76/default.asp. Potential offerors are requested to submit comments NLT February 02, 2001 for consideration prior to the final release. The final RFP will be available and issued on February 15, 2001 over the Internet at http://www.supply.dla.mil/a76/default.asp. The resultant contract, if any, will be awarded on an all-or-none basis as a hybrid fixed-price (indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract with cost-reimbursement provisions. The contract performance period will be a three-year base period with the potential of an additional two-year option period. This requirement will be issued on an unrestricted basis. SIC and Size Standard is 4225 -- $18.5M. This solicitation will not result in a contract if Government performance is determined to be more advantageous in accordance with the OMB Circular A-76 procedures. Hard copies of the RFP will not be available. Past Performance information will be required NLT March 30, 2001. The RFP closing date is April 13, 2001. The Site Visit and Pre-proposal Conference will be conducted on Sunday, March 11 and Monday, March 12, 2001 at DDHU, Hill AFB. Only those having confirmed reservations prior to COB March 7, 2001 will be permitted to attend the Site Visit and Pre-proposal Conference. Reservations are to be made via email to defense_depots@dscc.dla.mil. Please include attendee name(s), company name, company address and telephone number. Confirmation will be by return email. Attendees are limited to two per organization for each event. Directions to Hill AFB Utah, location of the conference and other pertinent information pertaining to the conference will be provided by email.
