- Description
- This proposed procurement is Unrestricted, SIC 1711 and the NAICS is 23511. Estimated cost of construction is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. Completion no later than 153 calendar days. Work consists of replacing three 100-hp low-pressure steam boilers and boiler room accessories at the Administration Building if Washington Aqueduct's Dalecarlia Water Treatment Plant. The new boilers are sized to provide building heat for five buildings plus additional heat for a future Visitor's Center. The new boilers are specified to be provided with all accessories for natural gas, fuel-oil, feed water trains, makeup water softener plant, fuel oil circulation pumps, safety features, automatic control, and microprocessor-based boiler control and management systems. Project also includes replacement of boiler room ventilation fan and associated discharge duct to better maintain humidity levels in boiler room. In order to comply with the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, all contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be considered for award of a Federal contract. The initial registration date expired 31 May 1998. The solicitation will be provided in an electronic format, free of charge, to all registered plan holders. The media through which the Government chooses to issue this solicitation will be in one of the following: compact disc only, compact disk and Internet, or the Internet only. This solicitation will not be issued in paper. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the agency.
