Description

This is a notice of intent to negotiate with R S Means, Inc., 100 Construction Plaza, Kingston, MA 02364, on an other than full and open competitive basis to purchase a cost estimating package and cost data for pricing materials needed for base operations. The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with R S Means, Inc. Award is to be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The following software is needed to support 40 users and must be compatible with cost data that was generated during previous work years: digital books for 1) building construction costs, 2) mechanical cost, 3) electrical cost, 4) plumbing cost, 5) interior cost, 6) site work and landscape, 7) concrete and masonry cost, 8) facilities construction cost, 9) facilities maintenance and repair cost; 8) repair and remodeling cost, and 9) assemblies cost. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may submit a capability statement. All capabilities statements received in response to this notice will be considered by the Government for the purpose of determining whether to initiate a competitive procurement. The Government reserves the right to process this procurement as a sole source based on the responses received.
