Description

This acquisition is for the following items: NOUN: Improved Master Control Processing Units (IMCPUs) -- Right, Part Number: 8500088-943, NSN: 5820-01-471-3529, QTY: 37 each with a 100 percent option for four years; IMCPU -- Left, Part Number: 8500088-923, NSN: 5820-01-471-3531, QTY: 37 each with a 100 percent option for four years. A quantity of 27 each are to be delivered to Bell Helicopter Textron, Incorporated no later than February 2003 and the remaining 10 are to be delivered to DDSP New Cumberland Facility, New Cumberland, PA no later than July 2002. In addition, the following spares are to be procured: NOUN: Circuit Card Assy, Part Number: 8524327-901, NSN: 5999-01-471-3515, QTY: 20 each; NOUN: Circuit Card Assembly -- General Purpose Processor, Part Number: 8524875-901, NSN: 5999-01-471-3534, QTY: 20 each with a 100 percent option for each. These items are to be delivered to DDSP New Cumberland Facility, New Cumberland, PA no later than July 2002. Authority and Justification for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). The proposed procurement is for supplies which cannot be obtained through full and open competition because only one responsible source is capable of satisfying the Agency's requirements, FAR 6.302-1. Honeywell, Incorporated, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87113-2227 is the only known source capable of performing this work in the time frame required to satisfy the Army's minimum needs. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the Agency. See Numbered Note(s): 22
