Description

Item: M116A3 1 ton, 2 wheel trailer chassis. NSN: 2330-01-359-0080. Qty: 2,785 (estimated) over a five (5) year period. The trailer chassis shall be equipped with interface kits applied using the current Purchase Description (ATPD 2248), Chassis Drawing Package (TACOM Drawing Number 8750253), and applicable interface kit Drawing Package (Drawing Numbers D13229E5640, D13229E5650, D13229E5705, D13229E5715, D13229E5725, D13229E5730, and D13229E5720 excluding the mounting of generator or switchboxes. The following changes apply to the M116A3 Chassis: a. Delete Part Number 124113 (Disc Brake) and replace with Part Number 11675013 (P/N 12313003 replaces P/N 12441114). b. Delete Part Number 7979952 (Intervehicular Hold) from the top of the trailer and replace and relocate with Part Number 8363978 (Replaceable Hold). c. Delete Part Number 12461851-6 (Safety Chain) and replace with Part Number 7339458. d. Delete Part Number 11652180-1 (Wiring Harness) and replace with Part Number 11652180-2. e. For Part Number 12313028 (U-Bolt) length should be 8.62 inches. f. Delete Part Number 7339360 (Eye-Bolt) and replace with P/N P100024 (Cage Code 62239). g. An additional alternative to P/N 11621624 is NAS834-47 (Cap Plug). Basic Issue Items (BII) shall be included with the trailer (described in the applicable interface kit drawing). F.O.B. point will be ORIGIN. This will be a HUBZone procurement. (see note 27) At this time, there is no release date for solicitation DAAE07-01-R-S012. The eventual release date will be no less than 15 days after the date of this notice. Offerors will have thirty (30) days after the release of the solicitation to return offers. The solicitation will be posted to the TACOM Website (http://www.tacom.army.mil/acqcen/opportunity.htm).
