- Description
- The purpose of this amendment is to modify the CBD Notice posted on January 8, 2001: (1) supplement the previous text; (2) add the NAICS code; (3) clarify the actions of other interested parties; and (4) delete the Request for Quotation (RFQ) information, including the date (2/25/01) for requesting an (RFQ). The U.S. EPA intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, with Boston College. The basis of the sole source negotiations is the existence of proprietary information. The Geology and Geophysics Department of Boston College is the sole developer and proprietor of a unique GIS bedrock geologic database for the state of Massachusetts. Implementation of the proposed research is contingent upon access to this database. The NAICS code for this requirement is 541710. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS. Other sources wishing to be considered must submit technical documentation to the office identified above, which establishes their ability to furnish the required services, inclusive of the proprietary data. Documentation must be submitted no later than January 25, 2001.
