Description

The Volpe Center has a requirement for multiple award task order contracts to provide the Department of Transportation (DOT) with technical training support. The tasks to be defined will cover a wide range of technical work related to the areas of training materials development, implementation and evaluation related to their technical job performance, process assistance applications, and information systems applications. These task orders will involve work in the following areas: (1) requirements studies to determine training scope, content, objectives, methodology, and media;(2) training materials development using relevant DOT, FAA, and other sponsor organizations guidelines, technology, and methodology (i.e., instructor led lecture/lab, self-paced training, cascade training, interactiv e video disc, computer based training/instruction (CBT/CBI), video and audio;(3) training implementation both locally at the Volpe Center and internationally at the DOT, FAA, and other sponsors Headquarters, Regional and Field Office sites; and (4) evaluation of the training both during and following the implementation. The applicable NAICS Code is 611430. The size standard is $5 million. The solicitation and any document related to this procurement will be available on the Internet. These documents will be available in text format and reside on a WWW server which may be accessed using Web browsers. This notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization(OSDBU), has a program to ass ist minority, women owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short -- term working capital assistance for transportation -- related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
