Description

The work consists of providing electrical services, on an as needed basis, for electrical maintenance and repairs at the US Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, 7400 Leake Ave., New Orleans, LA. Work includes maintenance to the above and below ground high voltage distribution system, and includes poles and power feeds to main transformers, the 480 volt secondary systems including disconnects on the secondary side of the transformers, buss ducts, main switch gears and power distribution panels, transformers and breaker panels, power and lighting systems in all buildings and electrical equipment on the district reservation. Other examples of electrical services shall include the electrical wiring and lighting on district wharf, string out barges, power poles along the river in accordance with marine wiring codes and electrical services to maintain existing electrical system that meets the applicable National Electrical code (NESC), NEC, Marine Electrical Code as per USCG regulations and Safety and Health Requirements Manual EM-385-1-1 USACE. Services will include providing two people to perform specific duties and shall respond by being on the reservation within 2 hours of all calls. The 28 acres of the New Orleans District is comprised of parking lots, streets, storage areas and lawns. The facility if supported with both above and below ground high voltage distribution wiring to include 40' light poles for streets and parking lots. This solicitation is being issued as a simplified acquisition which is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside.
