Description
The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation is seeking sources to indicate interest in providing services to print, stuff and mail invoices. The invoices to be produced by the new Assessment Information Management System (AIMS) are individual PDF files. The AIMS will produce 10,000 of these PDF files on a quarterly basis. These invoices contain sensititive information. THIS IS NOT A REQUIREMENT FOR COMPEITIVE PROPOSALS. The purpose of this notice is to develop a list of well-qualified firms who can provide these print services. Companies are invited to submit a conceptual approach that accomplishes the FDIC's goals and to provide complete information discussing the following qualifications and areas of experience: 1) Experience in providing similar print and mailing services for government or private firms. Examples of similar services provided by your company that are currently being used by the Federal Government would be hight desirable. 2) Quality control methods and steps for ensuring protection and confidentiality of printed data. Must discuss methods for ensuring to the client that all data received is printed and mailed in a timely manner. FDIC is looking to general invoices in PDF format and e-mail or create a CD for delivery to a source that will print and mail invoices. REQUIREMENTS: The FDIC is scheduled to implement new AIMS in June 2001. The invoices produced by new AIMS are individual PDF files (1 invoice format). New AIMS will produce 10,000 of these PDF files on a quarertly basis. These invoices contain senstitive information. AIMS will produce 10,000 invoices every quarter that are mailed to banks. Eventually these invoices will be e-mailed or posted on the Internet for retrieval by the banks. FDIC does not expect to complete the transition to paperless processing of invoices for 2 years (8 quarters). The invoices must be printed on Watermark (20lb Gilbert) paper. Invoices contain sensitive material, so some protective measures must be taken until invoices are mailed. Requirements: Ability to print invoices with a 24 hour notice and a maximum of 48 hours turnaround. Ability to print PDF format. Projected volume of invoices 1st quarter 3/31/20xx 36,000 pages assuming 2 sided printing otherwise 72,000 pages 2nd quarter 6/30/20xx 24,000 pages assuming 2 sided printing otherwise 48,000 pages 3rd quarter 9/30/20xx 36,000 pages assuming 2 sided printing otherwise 72,000 pages 4th quarter 12/31/20xx 24,000 pages assuming 2 sided printing otherwise 48,000 YEARLY TOTAL 120,000 pages Size of paper invoices are to be printed is letterhead standard 8 1/2 x 11 The agreement wold be for 8 consecutive quarters beginning June 2001. The print output must be in a secured or controlled location. Any extra invoices that are printed must be disposed of in a secure area and properly disposed of, for instance, shredded, etc. The source must have access to Watermark paper and appropriate postage-paid windowed envelopes to print and mail the invoices. The source must have methods for ensuring to FDIC that all data received is printed and mailed in a timely mannter. Ability to handle additional inserts (letter from FDIC and a return envelope for the Certified Statement). The source must review the invoices to ensure readability of the invoices. Ability for special handling of certain types of invoices (as requested by FDIC). The source must ensure that the invoices are mailed after printing and stuffing of invoices. Firms responding to announcement which fail to provide the requirement information may not be considered for inclusion into any of the resulting source list. Facsimile and telephone responses will not be accepted.
