Description

The Government intends to solicit, on a sole source basis with the University of Illinois, Illinois Natural History Survey, for UMRS-EMP Lake Chautauqua Habitat Rehabilitation and Enhancement Project, Biological Response Monitoring Moist Soil Vegetation Survey 2001 Investigations. The objective of the survey is to monitor the development, species composition, and seed production of the moist soil plant communities responding to water level management practices employed in the lower compartment of the Chautauqua Refuge. The results of the survey will be used to assess the biological response to the Habitat Rehabilitation and Enhancement Project improvements to the refuge, and to evaluate the effectiveness of various water level management scenarios on the production of moist soil vegetation.
