Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Detachment -- Washington D.C. intends to award a sole source contract that will include (1) one base year and (2) one-year options to TimeTech GMBH (Curiestrasse 2, D-70563, Stuttgart, Germany) in support of the U.S. Naval Observatory (USNO). The contract will be to procure TimeTech Model S2CP-V4.30 Detail spec TT0001C, Two-Way Satellite Time Transfer Modems (TWSTT). The modem shall be dual channel with chip rates of 0.5, 1.0, 2.5, 5.0, 10 and 20 Mchip/s. The modem shall be fully compatible with the MITREX TWSTT modem. The government reserves the right to extend the terms of the contract under FAR 52.217-9 "option To Extend the Term of the Contract." The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 334220 and the Federal Supply Code (FSC)is 5820. This will be a Firm-Fixed Price contractawarded as a sole-source procurement in accordance with an approved Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition as the subject vendor is the only known source capable of meeting this requirement.
