Description

This action is to award the following additional spares to support GDT for Common Ground Stations (CGS): Three (3) Circuit Card Assemblies, National Stock Number 5998-01-472-4867 and ten (10) Amplifier Electronic, National Stock Number 5996-01-472-8353, via a firm-fixed price modification to Contract Number DAAB07-00-C-L995. Army Working Capital Fund's (AWCF) will be used for this action. The GDT is part of the Joint STARS Surveillance and Control Data Link (SCDL). The GDT was developed specifically for the Joint STARS SCDL system and is designed to provide radar data and battle management information between the Joint STARS E-8 aircraft and the CGS, by radio link. The SCDL consists of the Air Data Terminal (ADT) located in the Air Force E-8 aircraft and the GDT located in the Joint STARS CGS. The SCDL is a mature design and has been in production since 1993. The additional spares are required to support the Army's GDT's and the Air Force ADTs.
