Description

Request for Comments/Land Mobile Radio. Departmental Offices, acting as the Department of the Treasury Executive Agent for Wireless Programs, are requesting comments for the draft specification and draft pricing schedule of Land Mobile Radio. In accordance with subject draft specification and draft pricing schedule, the requirement of this acquisition is to provide (1) standards based narrowband digital Land Mobile Radio (LMR) equipment/systems; (2) nationwide engineering support, including but not limited to, systems design/installation as well as nationwide repair and service; and (3) other alternatives _best value_ solutions that might be applied toward meeting all or part of these particular wireless communications requirements. Industry comments will be fully considered in preparation for the final specification and price schedule. The Department of the Treasury will not provide individual responses and requests that no general telephone or e-mail inquiries be made to the Contracting Officer or any Department of the Treasury employee. Interested firms are encouraged to read the draft specification document. Comments on the draft specification and draft pricing structure shall be submitted not later than February 26, 2001 to N.
