Description

The Robert Morris Acquisition Center intends to negotiate with Harris Corporation-RF Communications Division, Rochester, New York, under the authority of 10 U.S.C., Section 2304(c)(1), for the purchase of 400 watt high frequency radio communication systems and support equipment. The effort will support the SBCCOM Biological Integrated Detection System (BIDS) program. This will be a firm-fixed price contract over a one (1) year period. The Harris Corporation radio system is the only system that meets the Government's requirements of a high frequency single side band radio that covers the frequency range of 1.6 to 30 MHZ; has a effective transmission range of 300 kilometers under all weather and terrain conditions; and is fully compatible with standard military high frequency communications and Communications Security Equipment.
