Description

Architect and Engineering firm to provide all necessary A/E services for cooling tower replacement/ DDTU, Project No. 630-01-400. The scope consists of but, not limited to replacing existing 2520 ton cooling tower which serves three existing chillers at the VA New York Harbor Healthcare System, Brooklyn, NY. Work includes new flow measuring devices, replaceing cooling tower fans, drives, motor and gear boxes to achieve higher air flow through tower cell. The A/E shall provide all services necessary for preparation of a complete design development to construction. A complete contract, drawings and specifications including demolition, architectural, plumbing, mechanical and electrical drawings and documents. The existing air inlet louvers, casing walls and interior wall partition are constructed from asbestos material and should be replaced with fiberglass and non asbestos material. DDTU relocation, relocate existing methodone clinic from Bldg. No. 17 trailer to Bldg. No. 1 14th floor. The existing clinic of approximately 1390 SF consist of waiting area, nurse station, offices, storage, closet, group therapy rooms and bathrooms. New space shall be configured to accomate clinic and meet JCAHO requirements. Verification of existing as-built drawings. Design development, preparation of contract document and specifications. Provide serivces of C.I.H. for asbestos survey/report. Provide construction period services to include submittal review, RFI, site visits/inspection, as-built mark for contractors markup. All work shall comply with VA design criteria, NFPA, electrical code, local building. The estimated construction range is between $1,000,000.00 and $2,000,000.00.
