Description

Architect-Engineer Servives -- Notice of intent to solicit for Architectural/Engineering expertise at Maxwell AFB AL to provide Title I Services, including specifications and drawings for the design of a replacement underground irrigation system for nineteen flickerball (athletic playing) fields that measure approximately 160 feet by 90 feet each and the turf surrounding the fields at Maxwell AFB, AL. The objective of the design is to have a fully automatic irrigation system, which will provide the optimum amounts of water delivered at the most effective time of day that will encourage healthy sod development and meet the usage requiements of the fields. The irrigation system shall be designed to irrigate the playing fields by zone or area according to the amount of water (pressure and quantity) available. Selection will be based on the following criteria, listed in descending order of priority: (1) Professional qualifications necessary for satisfactory performance of required services; (2) Specialized experience and technical competence in the type of work required; (3) Capacity to accomplish the work in the required tiem; (4) Past performance in terms of cost control, quality of work, and compliance with performance schedules; (5) Location; and (6) Prior DOD Awards. Participation by small business firms and small disadvantaged business enterprises are encouraged. Firms must include small business and small disadvantaged representation on their SF 255. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this acquisition is 8712. The size status is $2.5 million gross receipts for each past 3 fiscal years.
